Umformung – The Transformation declared Tax-free in West Bengal

Sudeep
Ranjan Sarkar directed ‘Umformung – The Transformation’, has been declared tax
free for the viewers of West Bengal. The movie is produced by Rita Jhawar and
Saharsh Khaitan under the banners of Nez Moving Pixels and KLK Production.
“We are thankful to the West Bengal
government for giving a tax free status to Umformung - The Transformation. We
applied to the Information and Cultural Department who further took the film
through the process in the Finance Department with the desired recommendations
from Agricultural and Amusement Department - the authority to collect
entertainment tax. They found merit in our film and exempted tax from it”,
avers Rita Jhawar.
Speaking on the same, director of the film,
Sudeep Ranjan Sarkar said, “I do not strive for accolades or ovations. I just
want to get my message across and I’m thankful to the West Bengal Government
for supporting it and letting it go off tax. I wish the audience to ponder,
slow down and think deep after watching the film”.
The tax free status will encourage the
audience to recognize and support the spirit of the film.
Umformung is a marriage of poetry and
paintings. It entails the story of a life journey seeking the truth of living
in the backdrop of a Monk and a successful lady looking for power and position
in life.
The movie is slated for release on August
26, 2016.
